# Mozi Cooperative · Typography reference

The Mozi Cooperative brand uses an open-source typography stack for v1
(per the cooperative's typography sign-off, 2026-05-01). Licensed
canonical typefaces (Tiempos, Söhne) may be procured later as a
post-launch enhancement.

## Type stacks

### Serif (display, body)

Newsreader is the open-source fallback for Tiempos. Used for
hero headlines, body lead text, manifesto block, and pullquotes.
Available via Google Fonts (SIL OFL).

### Sans (UI, eyebrows, captions)

Inter is the open-source fallback for Söhne. Used for CTAs,
eyebrows, navigation labels, and metadata. Available via Google
Fonts (SIL OFL).

### Mono (technical labels, schematic captions)

IBM Plex Mono. Used for schematic figure captions (FIG. 01, FIG. 02,
etc.), revision dates, and technical metadata. Available via Google

## Voice

The Mozi voice is declarative, civic, technically honest. Sentence
patterns follow the three-movement rule: structural fact, concrete
evidence, civic frame. No "Get started." No "limited-time." No
exclamation marks except inside the rare member quote where the
punctuation is part of the original.
